Growing number of Belarusians labeled security threats in Lithuania: Who is at risk and is it worth appealing?

In 2025, 1,634 Belarusian citizens were recognized as a threat to state security in Lithuania—almost three times more than a year earlier. Among the factors that may be taken into account during assessment are previous work in Belarusian state structures and military service. Belsat looked into who among Belarusians is in the risk group and what to do in such situations.
