Belaruskbank has brought a new product to market – a loan for purchases on Wildberries. A sum of up to 50,000 rubles or 16,600 USD can be taken without income statements or guarantors. How does this offer align with the government's "buy Belarusian" policy, whose pocket will the loan money go into, how might this affect the foreign trade balance, and will the state bank eventually be banned from lending to foreign manufacturers? We put these questions to economist Alisa Ryzhychenka, the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus's representative for economics and finance.
