The recent meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Poland, Maksim Ryzhankou and Radosław Sikorski, has sparked both optimism and concern. Political analyst and historian Alexander Friedman, speaking on Belsat, believes that the reactions to the meeting are somewhat exaggerated. He points out that these are merely small technical steps and that the responsibility now lies with Belarus. In his view, there is no reason to anticipate a significant improvement in relations, at least not while the war is ongoing.
