During the new round of negotiations with the American delegation, Alyaksandr Lukashenka immediately adopted a rather aggressive tone, denying the existence of political prisoners in Belarus. At the same time, he is not ready to stop repressions, because he fears that even limited liberalization could lead to a repeat of the events of 2020.
