Latvia tightens trade restrictions on Belarus and Russia, targeting consumer imports

Starting September 1, 2026, the import of certain manufactured goods from Belarus and Russia will be banned in Latvia—a decision approved by the country's Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday, August 25.
