Siarhei and Alena Maushuk, a couple from Pinsk, were detained during the initial protests following the rigged presidential election on August 10, 2020. They were imprisoned together and, after their release, taken to Lithuania. Now, the former political prisoners are working to rebuild their lives in Vilnius, while their five children remain in Belarus. The separation from their children is the most painful aspect of their situation, as they shared in an interview with Belsat.
