In the Belavezhskaya Pushcha National Park, the world's largest known population of the rare fungus Osteina rhodophila has been discovered. Scientists from the national park have identified 14 sites where it is fruiting stably. Meanwhile, the forest remains the only place in Europe where this species has been recorded. The Belavezhskaya Pushcha National Park announced the discovery on August 11.
