Alyaksandr Lukashenka has again defended his proposal to send “undisciplined” participants in the harvest campaign to the military, insisting that the measure should not be seen as punishment or as a way to replenish the armed forces. During a working visit to Brest on July 30, he said the idea was to give people an opportunity to prove themselves “in a different kind of work.”
