Recently, the issue of legalization has become increasingly pressing for some Belarusians living abroad. In Poland, which has historically been supportive, there has been a sharp rise in the number of refusals for international protection. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, Belarusian citizens without passports are unable to renew their residence permits. Belsat has covered this topic extensively. During our research, people we spoke with frequently asked what actions the Belarusian democratic forces are taking to address these problems. We forwarded these questions to the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and are publishing their responses.
