Seeking international protection in Belarus can itself become a struggle for protection, according to a new report by human rights organisations. The chances of obtaining asylum are low, living conditions during the process are often inhumane, and applicants face the risk of being sent back to countries where they may be persecuted. Belarus is particularly unsafe for people fleeing Russia.
