Over the past several years, not only foreigners working illegally or committing serious crimes have come under the scrutiny of Poland’s Border Guard. People are now being deported for offenses that previously would hardly have raised any thoughts of possible deportation: catching fish in a pond, an unsuccessful joke on TikTok, or even a speeding ticket. Belsat has collected stories of such deportations from Poland in recent years.
