The Court of Justice of the European Union has dismissed appeals filed by Belaruskali, the company’s former chief executive Ivan Halavaty, and the Belarusian Potash Company, leaving EU sanctions against them in force. The court concluded that the term “Lukashenka regime” is not an abstract concept and that fertilizer exports provide support for that regime.
