HUBAZiK (the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption in Belarus — Ed.) opened a Threads account and thanked those who protested and expressed their dissent against the unfair 2020 elections, following which mass repressions began and more than 2,000 non-profit organizations (NPOs) were liquidated in Belarus. HUBAZiK representatives considered these organizations "hostile" and "treacherous entities." In reality, it was Belarusians who suffered, in some cases the most vulnerable.
