According to the Russian publication Kommersant, sales of Belarusian gasoline on the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange surged in May. Over the first three weeks of the month, more than 17,000 tons of Belarusian fuel were sold there—57 times more than during the same period last year. On the air at Belsat Studio, Andrei Makhouski, host of the “Optimum” program on the “Belarusians and the Market” YouTube channel, noted that the impressive figures on the growth in supplies may give the impression of a large-scale process, although in reality we are still talking about relatively small volumes.
