The residence of foreigners in Lithuania on the basis of a temporary or permanent residence permit is not an inalienable right and is always considered a privilege depending on the interests of state security. This was stated by the head of the Migration Department of Lithuania, Indrė Gasperė, in an interview with the LRT.lt portal.
