Since the beginning of 2025, the Podlaskie Border Guard Department has recorded 135 cases of contraband cigarettes flying from Belarus to Poland via hot air balloons. The estimated value of the contraband is over 3.4 million zlotys (approximately $0.95 million), according to the Polish Border Guard.
