The Hotline of the human rights center Viasna will soon celebrate its fifth anniversary. It was founded on August 6, 2020, on the eve of the presidential elections in anticipation of protests and mass repressions. Belsat spoke with the hotline operators about the results of five years of work, the specifics of repressions in 2025, the types of assistance that Viasna provides today, and the expectations of human rights activists regarding the reduction or cessation of political persecution in the country.
