This is a new form of hybrid warfare, warns the organization.
In early June, the anti-Lukashenka organization of former Belarusian uniformed services BYPOL reported that experienced criminals from Belarus and Russia had begun infiltrating Poland. These are members of the gang led by Dzmitry Halajeu, aka Mitsya Halej, who was released from penal colony on December 22, 2023.
The gangsters are reportedly heading to Warsaw to take control of the Polish criminal underworld and discredit the Belarusian diaspora.
,,The Halej organized crime group is supposed to discredit the Belarusians before the Polish authorities, laying the groundwork for not extending permanent residence permits to the Belarusians and sending them back to their country of origin. In recent months, Belarusian propaganda channels [of the Lukashenka regime] have reported that the Belarusian opposition in Poland will soon get a surprise and that deportations of the Belarusians will begin," wrote BYPOL.
According to a former Belarusian policeman, Mitsya Halej received “state funding” from the regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenka to take control of the Warsaw underworld.
,,There are reasons to believe that this is a new form of hybrid warfare that the special services of Belarus and Russia have decided to try out in Poland,” emphasized BYPOL
In connection with this, journalists from Wirtualna Polska portal asked the National Police Headquarters and the Warsaw Police Headquarters whether they were taking BYPOL's warning about the infiltration of members of an organized criminal group from Belarus into account. WP received only unofficial confirmation that Mitsya Halej is currently in Poland legally. Polish police officers were to treat the information from the Belarusian organization seriously and it is currently being verified.
