In light of the recent exchange of tweets between Radosław Sikorski and Elon Musk, the MFA Spokesman indicated that the conclusions drawn from it benefit Poland.
Ultimately, Ukraine benefited, and Poland's position as an ally of the United States is as strong as before - this is the opinion expressed by Paweł Wroński, Spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an interview with the Vot Tak portal.
,,- It's hard to say what impact this will have on further Polish-American relations, but I don't see any conflict here. The main result of the heated exchange of views was that Musk - even though reluctantly - and then US Secretary of State Rubio publicly stated that disabling Starlinks in Ukraine is not even being considered. It should be remembered that this is not the first time that Elon Musk has mentioned the possibility of disconnecting the Internet, which has become an element of pressure on Ukraine. Such a result is essential for us and Ukraine - said Wroński.
,,- Moreover, Marco Rubio's tweet clearly shows that the United States is perfectly aware of what is happening in Ukraine and the fight. It is not about some proxy war but about whether the Russian army will not be stationed 30 kilometers from the Polish city of Przemyśl. It is a fundamental observation.
Wroński believes that despite Musk's critical tweets, there is no conflict between Poland and the United States. Recent statements by Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Saudi Arabia support this view:
,,- When Rubio was asked during a press conference whether this situation would not lead to problems in relations with Poland, he replied that there would be no crises and that Poland is a vital ally of Washington in NATO and a good example for the rest of Europe.
According to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman, such words show that the American side does not want further confrontation.
